1. The Lull
Ok, after a rather busy summer of excreting-externalizing my work on various matters, I have succumbed to the cyclical and am now producing fuck-all. Yay me. Etc. I have part of a 2nd post about Orbach's book that has been sitting around untouched for a few weeks. Maybe I'll try to finish it. Maybe not. But whatever the case, I have a nifty project idea connected to Lacan's unpublished seminars which I'll say more about here when it becomes something more solid.
2. THE DEMOCRACY OF OBJECTS by Levi R. Bryant
This is an HTML presentation of Levi's book sponsored by the publisher. Sometime soon there will be a PDF made freely available and hardcopy for order if you desire. I was hunting something theoretical for my dear sister recently and - though I knew already of his book - it turned out that it was pertinent to sis's needs. So, I read much of one of the later chapters here yesterday and was very impressed with what I read. This morning (which began after noon) I started at the beginning and I am finding this exciting reading. There is much here for a Lacanian to be interested in and much to challenge Lacanian 'certainties' as well. Check it out and spread the word.
